Autism Assessment & Support

Autism Assessment & Support

We are a leading provider of diagnostic assessment of Autism for children and adolescents. We utilise ‘gold standard’ assessment tools and observation, along with our extensive clinical experience.

A diagnostic assessment may include the following:

  • Developmental interview with parents/carers (ADI-R and/or MIGDAS-2)
  • Observational assessment (ADOS 2)
  • Observation of your child in their educational setting
  • Assessment of Cognitive Functioning if required
  • Consultation with other therapists involved with your child

We take a partnership approach with young people and their caregivers, working collaboratively in a strengths-based model to help people consolidate existing skills, or to learn new skills.

How Bloom Psychology Can Help

Following formal assessment, we work with Autistic children and adolescents to help them build on their skills and knowledge, and to further develop their strengths. We take a collaborative approach with young people and their caregivers, working together using in a strengths-based model to help consolidate existing skills, or to learn new skills. We also work collaboratively with other therapists and educators, to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Bloom provides both individual skill-based therapy, as well as group programs that will help your child learn and consolidate skills in a supported program, as well as make new friends!
