Sarah Allen

Sarah is a registered psychologist with a Master of Educational and Developmental Psychology from the Australian Catholic University. She has experience working with at primary and secondary schools, within private practices and at organisations such as the Royal Children’s Hospital, headspace and Orygen supporting children, adolescents, families, and other professionals who work with young people.

Sarah uses the therapeutic approaches of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Solution Focussed Therapy and Positive Psychology in sessions with clients and has supported children, adolescents and families experiencing a variety of difficulties and diagnoses, such as anxiety disorders, depression, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), oppositional defiant disorder and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Sarah also works collaboratively with other psychologists, speech pathologists, occupational therapists, paediatricians, school staff and general practitioners, to meet client goals.

Additionally, Sarah also has an interest in facilitating workshops and presentations on a range of topics, such as anxiety/worry, managing behaviour, adolescent development, preparing for the transition to school and social skill development. Sarah is also enjoys supporting provisional and early career psychologists and is a registered supervisor.

Outside of work, Sarah enjoys spending time with family and friends, being at the beach and traveling.
